Apple Cheese Pudding Recipe
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 4 c. water
- 1 x cinnamon stick
- 1 whl clove
- 6 slc bread
- 3 x apples -- peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1 c. raisins
- 1 c. blanched almonds
- 8 ounce Monterey jack cheese -- cubed
- Combine brown sugar, water, cinnamon stick, and clove in saucepan; heat to boiling.
- Reduce heat and simmer till syrupy.
- Throw away cinnamon stick and clove.
- In 12- x 8 inch baking dish, arrange half the bread cubes; cover with layer of half the apples, raisins, almonds, and cheese.
- Repeat layers.
- Pour syrup over all.
- Bake at 350 degrees F. for 30 min.
- Yield: 10 servings.
