Sweet and Spicy Barbecue Beans

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
  3. Add the onion and saute for about six minutes, until soft and translucent.
  4. Add the garlic and saute for another two minutes.
  5. Add the chopped kale and cook for a few minutes, tossing frequently.
  6. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  7. Transfer to a 9-inch glass pan or baking dish.
  8. Bake beans, covered, for forty five minutes.
  9. **These beans freeze extremely well!
