Grandma's Sugar Cookies

• 1/2 cup margarine
• 3/4 cup granulated sugar
• 1 tablespoon milk
• 1 egg
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking powder

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Cream margarine and sugar.
2. Add milk, egg, and vanilla and stir well.
3. Add flour and baking powder.
4. Chill.
5. On well-floured board, roll out and cut into shapes.
6. Put onto greased baking sheet and sprinkle with sugar or decorate with sprinkles.
7. Bake for 5 minutes.
8. Cool on racks.
