Shhhortcut Sauce
- 1/2 boxes Pasta, Any Shape
- 1 pound Fresh Or Frozen Hamburgers (if Using Grilled Leftovers, 1/2 Burger Per Person)
- 1 jar Bertolli Fire-Roasted Tomato Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons Water
- 1) Get the pasta water on the stove on high.
- When boiling, add salt and 1/2 Tbsp cooking oil.
- 2)While heating up the water, in a separate saucepan start frying up 2 hamburgers (Fresh is faster, but I always have frozen ones!).
- Break em up while cooking to whatever size pieces you like (I like big chunks!).
- Let the meat cook well so that dark spots cook onto the pan surface.
- If working frozen meat, at about halfway into this step, the water will be ready for the salt, oil & pasta.
- If using fresh or precooked meat, start pasta water earlier!
- 3) Dump a jar of tomato sauce on top of the cooked meat.
- If it looks too thick, add a little water (2 Tbsp) and stir so that the cooked bits get reabsorbed into the sauce.
- Put the lid on it and simmer on low as long as you want.
- I usually eat this right away with no extra simmer.
- Thats it.
- Hubby says its consistently good with the Fire-roasted Tomato.
- Let me know if you get good results with other brands!
