Perfect Scalloped Oysters Recipe

  1. Drain oysters, reserving 1/4 c. liquid.
  2. Combine crumbs and butter.
  3. Spread 1/3 of the crumbs in a buttered 8 inch round pan.
  4. Cover with half the oysters.
  5. Sprinkle with pepper.
  6. Make a second layer of crumbs, then oysters and finish with crumbs on top.
  7. Pour remaining ingredients over the oysters.
  8. Bake 40 min at 350 degrees.
  9. Serves 4.
  10. Menu Note: Orange-cranberry sauce with this is a nice tart flavor.
  11. Make rolls or possibly muffins and have a green vegetable, such as broccoli.
  12. To finish an easy oven meal, serve gingerbread with whipped cream on top or possibly lemon flavored cornstarch pudding sauce.
