Cheesy Ham and Potatoes
- 4 lb potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 packages diced or cubed ham
- 1 packages 8oz shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 packages 8oz shredded pepper jack cheeses
- 1/2 cup butter
- 4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 garlic powder to taste
- 1 black pepper to taste
- 1 italian seasoning to taste
- Layer potatoes and ham in a greased 9x13 pan.
- Potatoes, ham, potatoes, ham.
- Melt butter in a large sauce pan.
- Add your spices and flour.
- Making sure that you whisk the flour in well, so that there are no lumps.
- After flour is cooked down, add your milk one cup at a time.
- Wait for it to thicken before you add the next cup.
- Once the milk has thickened, add in the shredded chese amd continue stirring until its all melted.
- Pour your cheese mix over your potatoes and ham.
- Be careful that you don't overflow your pan.
- Place in oven, uncovered at 375 for 1-1 1/2hrs or until potatoes are tender.
- **You may need to place your pan on a large cookie sheet to catch anything that may bubble over.
- Let it set for at least 10min.
- This will allow it to set up a little and keep you from burning your mouth.
