Arlene's Strawberry Pie Recipe

  1. Mix together water, sugar, cornstarch, corn syrup and salt.
  2. Cook till clear in appearance and you are unable to taste the cornstarch.
  3. Remove from heat and add in 1/4 teaspoon red food coloring and Jell-o and stir.
  4. Pour over strawberries, stirring gently.
  5. Pour into cooled 9-inch pie shell and chill.
  6. Cold till set.
  7. If you like, top with Cold Whip or possibly any other whipped topping before serving.
