Five Flavor Cake
- 2 sticks butter, softened
- 1/2 c. crisco
- 3 c. sugars
- 5 eggs
- 3 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. milk
- 2 tsp. each coconut, rum butter, vanilla and lemon extracts
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees; use a 10 inch bundt pan.
- Cream butter, in small mixer bowl until thick and lemon colored.tlend into creamed mixture.
- Add flour and baking powder alternately with milk, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in 1 teaspoon coconut, rum, butter, vanilla and lemon flavorings.tpoon into greased and floured bundt pan.take for 1-1/2 hours or until cake tests done. Bring remaining flavorings, 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup water to a boil in saucepan; stir until sugar is dissolved.
- Pour half the mixture over cake in pan.
- Cool for several minutes, invert cake onto cake plate.
- Pour remaining glaze over top.
