Glazed Baked Apples Cointreau Recipe

  1. Core apples about 1/3 of the way down from stem end, set in baking pan pared ends up.
  2. Mix together orange peel, orange juice, brown sugar, and salt in a pan and bring to a boil; pour over the apples.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees till apples are tender, basting several times with the orange syrup.
  4. Just before serving dribble the Cointreau over the apples and sprinkle a few almonds over each one.
  5. Serve with cream, plain or possibly whipped.
