Venetian Dream
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 pkg. (125g) Philadelphia Brick Cream Cheese, softened
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 24 Nilla Vanilla Wafers
- 3 Tbsp. strong coffee or coffee flavored liqueur
- BEAT egg yolks and 1/4 cup (50mL) sugar until thick, about 5 minutes.
- Beat in cheeses.
- Layer half the mixture into a 6 cup (1.5L) loaf pan or heatpoof dish.
- Arrange 18 vanilla wafers on top of the cheese layer.
- Sprinkle with liqueur.
- Top with remaining cheese mixture.
- Coarsely crush remaining six wafers and sprinkle over top.
- WHIP egg whites until frothy, gradually add remaining 1/4 cup (50mL) sugar, beating until stiff peaks form.
- Spread on top.
- Broil until golden brown.
- Refrigerate 2 hours or overnight and serve cold.
