Rolled Oats Bread

  1. Combine boiling water and sweetened condensed milk.
  2. Stir until blended.
  3. Pour over rolled oats.
  4. Allow to stand 1 hour.
  5. Add cooking oil, syrup, salt, flour, and yeast which has been softened in lukewarm water.
  6. Beat thoroughly.
  7. Allow to rise until double in bulk, then beat thoroughly.
  8. Pour into well-oiled pan.
  9. Cover and let rise until double in bulk.
  10. Bake in moderate oven at 375F (190C).
  11. about 45 minutes.
