Triple Almond Torte
- 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup Land O Lakes Butter, softened
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cups finely chopped slivered almonds
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup Land O Lakes Butter, softened
- 3 Land O Lakes Eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 1/2 teaspoons freshly grated lemon zest
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons almond liqueur*
- Toasted sliced almonds, if desired
- Powdered sugar, if desired
- Land O Lakes Heavy Whipping Cream, whipped, sweetened, if desired
- Heat oven to 375F.
- Combine all pastry ingredients in bowl.
- Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Press onto bottom and 1 inch up sides of ungreased 9-inch springform pan.
- Combine all filling ingredients in bowl.
- Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed.
- Pour filling into crust.
- Bake 30-40 minutes or until center is set and deep golden brown.
- Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan.
- Garnish with sliced almonds and powdered sugar, if desired.
- Serve warm with whipped cream, if desired.
