Mozzarella Sticks
- 8 ounces, weight Block Of Whole Milk Mozzarella Cheese
- 2 Eggs
- 2 cups Italian Seasoned Breadcrumbs
- Tomato Sauce For Dipping
- Vegetable Oil, For Frying
- Cut the brick of mozzarella cheese into 8 sticks.
- Beat the eggs in a bowl.
- Put the breadcrumbs in another bowl.
- Coat cheese with egg then dredge in the breadcrumbs.
- Repeat this step so that the cheese is double coated.
- Place coated cheese on a baking tray and freeze for at least 2 hours.
- The longer the better.
- When you are ready to cook, heat vegetable oil in a deep sided pot over medium heat until it is hot enough to fry.
- Take cheese out of the freezer right before frying.
- Place frozen cheese into the hot oil.
- Watch closely, the outside will brown quickly and you do not want to overcook and lose all your cheese!
- Once the bottom is brown, flip over and let other side brown.
- Place on paper towels to drain off excess oil.
- Serve and enjoy with some tomato sauce.
