Sauerkraut Chocolate Cake
- 23 cup butter
- 1 12 cups white sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 12 cup cocoa
- 1 cup water
- 2 14 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 23 cup drained sauerkraut
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Blend the butter and sugar together in a large bowl.
- Add the eggs and mix again.
- Sift the dry ingredients together, then add the water alternately with the sifted, dry ingredients to the butter and sugar mixture.
- Stir in the sauerkraut and vanilla.
- Put in two 8 x 8 inch pans and bake at 350 F for 30 minutes.
