Sour Cream Brown Butter Cookies Recipe
- 2 1/3 c. flour
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. soft butter
- 2 Large eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 c. finely minced pecans
- 8 ounce. lowfat sour cream
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease cookie sheets.
- In a 3 qt mixer bowl combine all cookie ingredients except lowfat sour cream and pecans.
- Beat at low speed 2-3 min cleaning sides of bowl often till well mixed.
- Stir in lowfat sour cream and pecans.
- Drop by rounded tsp.
- 2 inches apart on cookie sheets.
- Bake 8-12 min or possibly till edges are lightly browned.
- Cold and spread with Brown Butter Frosting.
- Frosting; In saucepan heat butter over medium heat, stirring constantly till butter is golden (3-5 min).
- Add in remaining ingredients and stir till smooth.
- Yield: Approximately 5 dozen.
