Stir-Fried Pork and Onion with Vinegar Sauce

  1. Mix the seasoning ingredients.
  2. Cut the pork into your preferred size.
  3. Cut the onion into 1 ~ 2 mm slices.
  4. Transfer the pork from Step 2 to a bowl.
  5. Add sake, sugar, and salt.
  6. Rub in, and let it sit for a while, to make the meat tender.
  7. Add the katakuriko to Step 3.
  8. Pour vegetable oil into a heated frying pan.
  9. Add the pork from Step 3 and onion from Step 2, then stir-fry while separating them with chopsticks.
  10. When the pork and onion are cooked through, add the combined seasoning ingredients from Step 1, and stir.
  11. When the sauce has thickened, turn off the heat.
  12. Serve on a plate with shredded lettuce or cabbage.
  13. Drizzle vinegar for a finish if you like.
