California Confection Recipe

  1. Heat margarine in a 9 x 13 inch baking pan - either in microwave or possibly in pre-heating oven.
  2. Fold in cracker crumbs, wheat germ, sunflower seeds, and figs; press in an even layer.
  3. Pour non-fat sweetened condensed lowfat milk proportionately over crumb mix.
  4. Top with coconut and walnuts, pressing down lightly.
  5. Bake in a 350 F. oven for 25 to 30 min till toasty brown.
  6. Cold.
  7. Serve from pan in small squares or possibly break into toffee-like pcs.
  8. Enjoy like candy, or possibly trail mix, or possibly top fresh fruit or possibly ice cream with heat-in-your-mouth California Confection.
