Flora's Bacon Cheeseburger Log
- 1 pd. bacon
- 1 pd. low fat ground beef
- 1/2 cup bleu cheese crumbles
- 1 a couple splashes whorchester sauce
- 1/4 tbsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp hickory smoked salt *optional
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
- on wax paper, basket weave your bacon into a square.
- I did mine kind of sloppy because my bacon was really thin.
- In a bowl combine your hamburger, salt, pepper, and whorchester sauce.
- Pat out onto the bacon square.
- Roll up any leftover bacon ends then add on your cheese.
- Roll up your bacon as tight as you can and lay seam side down in a greased baking dish
- Bake at 400 for approximately 40 min (would be great grilled too).
- After mostly cooked baste with BBQ sauce.
- Turn up to a high heat if you need to get your bacon more crispy.
- Allow to rest for 15min.
- Then cut into rounds for your hamburgers.
