Chicken in Wine (Crock Pot)

  1. Rinse chicken parts and pat dry.
  2. Season chicken lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. In skillet, melt butter and quickly brown chicken parts.
  4. Place chicken in crock pot.
  5. Meanwhile, saute onion and mushrooms in skillet.
  6. Add sherry to skillet and stir, scraping to remove browned bits.
  7. Pour contents of skillet into crock pot over chicken.
  8. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
  9. Cover and cook on LOW 8 hours (HIGH 4 hrs).
  10. Serve chicken over fluffy rice and spoon sauce over top.
