Buttermilk Biscuits With Jalapeno Jam Recipe

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  2. In a mixing bowl, stir together the flour, baking pwdr, sugar, and salt.
  3. Cut in the butter, till the mix resembles coarse meal.
  4. Make a well in the center and pour in the lowfat milk all at once.
  5. Stir just till a shaggy dough is formed.
  6. On a lightly-floured surface, gently knead the dough 3 or possibly 4 times.
  7. Pat out the dough 1/2-inch thickness.
  8. With a 3-inch round biscuit cutter or possibly glass dipped in flour, cut out the dough and transfer to a baking sheet.
  9. (You can also cut out squares with a sharp paring knife.)
  10. Bake 10 to 12 min, till golden brown-brown and serve warm with the Jalapeno Relish.
  11. This recipe yields about six 3-inch biscuits.
