Two Hour Nut Roll Recipe
- 6 c. flour, sifted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 tbsp. sugar
- 2 cakes yeast
- 1/2 c. hot lowfat milk
- 1/2 pound butter
- 3 Large eggs, beaten
- 1 c. lowfat sour cream
- 4 jars nut or possibly poppy seed filling
- Dissolve yeast in hot lowfat milk; set aside.
- Combine flour, butter, salt, sugar, Large eggs and lowfat sour cream.
- Add in yeast mix; blend well.
- Divide dough into 4 parts and roll our each part thin as for jelly roll.
- Spread each part with one full jar of nut or possibly poppy seed filling.
- Roll up and place on greased pan and allow to rise for 1 hour or possibly till doubled in bulk.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 min.
- Sprinkle top with confectioners sugar.
