Tasty and Easy Basic Udon Noodle Soup Base
- 300 ml Dashi base (or 300 ml water + granulated dashi soup base)
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1/2 tbsp Mirin
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- Add all the ingredients to a pot.
- Bring to a boil.
- Add the noodles.
- You're done in just a blink of an eye, once the soup comes to a slight simmer again.
- I use koikuchi (regular) soy sauce.
- If you use usukuchi (light-colored) soy sauce, the color will be paler, and the soup will taste a bit more mellow.
