Fruit and Rum Soup

  1. Combine 1 cup (225 ml) sugar, papaya, and next 3 ingredients in blender.
  2. Process until smooth, stopping once to scrape down sides.
  3. Pour mixture into a bowl.
  4. Cover and chill thoroughly.
  5. Place strawberries in a small bowl.
  6. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup (60 ml) sugar, tossing to coat.
  7. Ladle soup into individual bowls.
  8. Top each serving with strawberries.
  9. Garnish with kiwi, if desired.
