Chicken Tikka Masala
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, grated
- 1 Tbsp. grated gingerroot
- 1 Tbsp. each garam masala, ground cumin and ground turmeric
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup crushed tomatoes
- 1 lb. (450 g) boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
- 1/2 cup Philadelphia Cream Cheese Product
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat.
- Add onions; cook 5 min.
- or until crisp-tender, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in garlic and ginger; cook 1 to 2 min.
- or until fragrant.
- Add garam masala, cumin and turmeric; cook and stir 30 sec.
- Stir in tomatoes and water until well blended.
- Add chicken; stir until coated.
- Cover; simmer on medium-low heat 8 to 10 min.
- or until done, stirring occasionally.
- Add cream cheese; cook and stir 2 to 3 min.
- or until heated through.
- Garnish with cilantro.
