Our Family Recipe For Pacific Saury Kabayaki
- 3 whole fish Pacific saury
- 1 Flour
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Mirin
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Sake
- 1 tbsp Water
- 1 Sesame seeds
- Filet the fish and remove the small bones (if they bother you).
- Cut each filet into 3 pieces.
- Combine the ingredients marked .
- Dust each piece of fish with flour (use a tea strainer) and pan fry in a heated frying pan in oil, starting from the skin side.
- When both sides of the fish pieces are browned, add the combined ingredients.
- Simmer while coating the fish with the sauce as it reduces.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds and it's done.
- It's delicious as a rice bowl as well.
