Beef Roast
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1/2 tsp white pepper
- 1/2 tsp beef grill spice
- 3 bay leafs
- 2 glous clove
- 1 maggi cube
- 1/2 beef bouillon
- 1/2 carrot cut in 2
- 2 garlic clove roughly cut
- 2 onions peeled but not chopped
- 2 beef bone with bone marrow
- 500 grams beef roast
- 1 bag of bouquet garni optional
- 1 litre hot water
- 1 Salt
- Clean the beef roast with kitchen papers and season it with mustard, white pepper and beef grill spice.
- Put a frying pan over high heat and fry the beef bone and beef roast until it's brown.
- Dissolve the beef bouillon, maggi cube in the hot water, and add garlic.
- Pour the concentrated water in a cooking pot and add the brown beef roast.
- Add onions, bay leafs, carrot, bouquet garni if using and salt to taste.
- Filter the fat from the brown beef roast and add into the sauce.
- Cook slowly for 2 hours.
- Take out the beef roast from the sauce and slice.
- Filter the sauce, put the sliced beef roast back into the pot and add the sauce.
- If you want the sauce thicker, you can add 1 tablespoon of all purpose flour or 1 tablespoon concentrated tomatoes.
- Cook for few minutes and serve with mashed potatoes, rice or pasta.
