Chocolate Mocha Layer Cake
- 1 gal. DREAM WHIP Whipped Topping Mix
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 3 qt. Prepared JELL-O Chocolate Flavor Sugar Free Reduced Calorie Instant Pudding
- 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Prepare whipped topping as directed on package, substituting cold strong brewed coffee for the cold water.
- Prepare cake batter as directed on package.
- Pour evenly into 3 full (2-inch) hotel pans (or 1 half 2-inch hotel pan for trial recipe).
- Bake as directed; cool completely.
- Refrigerate several hours or until chilled.
- Split each cake horizontally into 3 even layers.
- Place 1 cake layer in bottom of each of 3 (4-inch) hotel pans (or 1 pan for trial recipe); cover with 1/2 of the pudding, second cake layer and remaining pudding.
- Top with third cake layer; spread with whipped topping mixture.
- Sprinkle with chocolate chips.
- Refrigerate at least 4 hours before cutting to serve.
