Slow-Cooker BBQ Beef

  1. Mix first 6 ingredients until blended.
  2. Place meat in slow cooker; top with sugar mixture.
  3. Cover with lid.
  4. Cook on LOW 7 to 9 hours (or on HIGH 5 to 7 hours).
  5. Transfer meat to cutting board.
  6. Let stand 10 min.
  7. Meanwhile, use ladle to remove liquid from slow cooker; set aside.
  8. Pull meat into shreds with 2 forks.
  9. Discard gristle.
  10. Return meat to slow cooker; stir in barbecue sauce.
  11. Gradually stir in reserved liquid if thinner consistency is desired.
  12. Increase heat to HIGH; cook, covered, 15 min.
  13. Serve in buns.
