Chocolate Pudding Trifle

  1. Prepare cake as directed on box.
  2. Cool completely and cut into cubes.
  3. Combine both pudding packages with the milk, beat on medium speed with electric mixer for three minutes and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  4. To assemble: put 1/3 of cake cubes in bottom of trifle bowl or large (6-quart) clear glass bowl.
  5. Spread 1/3 of pudding on top of cake, then 1/3 of whipped topping on top of pudding.
  6. Sprinkle 1/3 of cookie crumbs on top of whipped topping.
  7. Repeat this two more times, ending with crushed cookies, for a total of three layers.
  8. Refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight.
