Grape Pie

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mash grapes (in skins) with water.
  3. In a separate bowl mix sugar, butter, cornstarch, and 3 egg yolks.
  4. Stir in mashed grapes.
  5. Pour custard into pie crust.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes or until custard is firm.
  7. Beat up a meringue with 3 egg whites and remaining sugar.
  8. Top cooked pie with meringue and bake for another 15-20 minutes.
  9. Chill until room temperature and serve.
