Hurricane Popcorn
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 1/2 cup popcorn kernels
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons furikake (see Note)
- 2 teaspoons chile powder
- Wasabi peas, for serving
- In a large pot, combine the canola oil and popcorn kernels.
- Cook over moderate heat, shaking the pan, until the popcorn is popped, about 3 minutes.
- Remove from the heat.
- Stir the butter, furikake and chile powder into the popcorn.
- Transfer to a large bowl, top with wasabi peas and serve.
