Pecan Pastries Recipe
- 1/2 c. sweet butter
- 5 tbsp. granulated sugar
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking pwdr
- Dash salt
- 1.
- Cream butter and shortening till smooth and well blended.
- 2.
- Add in egg.
- Stir to blend.
- 3.
- Add in remaining ingredients and mix till well blended.
- Don't over mix.

- Pat dough into 13x9 inch jelly roll pan.
- Prick with a fork.
- 5.
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 min.
- 6.
- Meanwhile, prepare filling in a saucepan.
- Combine butter, brown sugar.
- Add in granulated sugar and honey.
- Bring to a boil.
- Boil for 3 min without stirring.
- 7.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in pecans, add in whipping cream.
- 8.
- Spread filling over prebaked pastry.
- 9.
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 25 min till dough is done and filling is lightly brown on top.
- 10.
- Cut in squares to serve.
