Apples In Cardamom Cream Recipe

  1. Bake puff pastry shells according to package directions.
  2. Heat butter in a heavy nonstick skillet over medium high heat.
  3. Saute/fry apples and sugar 12-15 min, stirring frequently.
  4. (Reduce heat if necessary to keep apples from burning.)
  5. When apples begin to caramelize, reduce heat to medium.
  6. Stir in evaporated lowfat milk and cardamom.
  7. Bring to a boil.
  8. Reduce heat to medium low.
  9. Simmer 1 minute.
  10. Stir in pecans.
  11. Just before serving, spoon fruit mix into baked puff pastry shells.
