Fried green tomatoes
- 3 medium green tomatoes
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 2 beaten eggs
- 3/4 fine bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup cooking oil
- Cut tomatoes into 1" slices.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Dip slices in milk, then flour, then eggs, then bread crumbs.
- Before frying, its best to put the coated tomato slices in the freezer for 2 hours.
- The coating will stay on better.
- Fry the slices in hot oil over med heat 8-10 mins each side or until brown.
- Season with salt and pepper and serve.
