Greek Turkey Burgers

  1. Chop all of the vegetables.
  2. Combine turkey, Worcestershire, onion, and mushrooms in a large bowl.
  3. Add egg and bread crumbs and mix to combine.
  4. If you think the mixture looks too wet, you either need to mix it up some more (using your hands works best), or add a few more sprinkles of bread crumbs.
  5. Next, add half of a 5 ounce feta cheese package to the mix as well as all of the seasonings.
  6. Be generous with the seasoning, really, you can never over-season.
  7. Form mixture into patties.
  8. You should be able to get 4-6 patties depending on the size you prefer to make them.
  9. Cook in a frying pan on medium heat until the outside is browned and the juices run clear, about 4-6 minutes per side at least.
  10. At the same time, saute the onion slices in olive oil over medium heat for about 6 minutes and add them to the top of your burger.
  11. Warm the olive oil on medium heat before adding in your onions and starting the time.
  12. Be sure to move the onions around constantly.
  13. Combine the ingredients for the Greek cucumber sauce.
  14. Feel free to adjust seasonings to your individual tastes.
  15. If you prefer, you can substitute ketchup and mustard for the sauce.
  16. Put the onion topped burger on a bun, top with your sauce of choice and enjoy.
