Aunt Bessie's Pink Applesauce

  2. Combine all the ingredients in a heavy pot.
  3. Over medium-high heat bring to a boil.

  5. Lower heat and cook, stirring ofter while breaking up the apples, until apples are very soft.
  6. If the applesauce is getting too thick then add a bit more water.
  7. 3.)
  8. Immediately pour into prepared canning jars.
  9. Cover and process 20 minutes OR if to be used within 3 days, chill in the refrigerator.
