French toast with caramel sauce
- 1 loaf egg bread
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 3 eggs
- 1 pinch brown sugar
- 1/2 vanilla bean
- Heat the water in a pot, pulverize the sugar in a food processor, add the sugar to the pot.
- Watch untill it turns a caramel color.
- Cut the heat and pour in cream add butter and whisk
- In a mixing bowl add the eggs, brown sugar, a splash of milk and vanilla bean, whisk together
- In a pan heat some butter, drench bread in egg mixture and cook in pan for about 1 minute on each side
- While cooking add a pinch of brown sugar for extra carmalization
