Sour Cream Twist Recipe

  1. Dissolve yeast in hot water.
  2. Let stand 5 min.
  3. Stir together flour and salt.
  4. Cut in butter and shortening till like peas.
  5. Stir in Large eggs, lowfat sour cream, 1 tsp.
  6. vanilla and the yeast mix.
  7. Mix well.
  8. Dough should be like pie crust.
  9. Combine sugar and 2 tsp.
  10. vanilla.
  11. Sprinkle board with sugar mix.
  12. Roll out half of dough, sprinkle with 1 Tbsp.
  13. sugar.
  14. Fold into thirds and sprinkle and roll.
  15. Fold, sprinkle and roll two more times.
  16. Roll into 16x9 inches, cut in 3 inch strips.
  17. Twist each strip 2 or possibly 3 times.
  18. Place on chilled ungreased sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 min.
