Oma's Candied Sweet Potatoes

• 4 -6 medium sweet potatoes
• 1 cup pineapple juice
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 14 cup white sugar
• 3 tablespoons butter
• 12 teaspoon cinnamon

1. Bake sweet potatoes until soft.
2. Peel and slice lengthwise or crosswise as desired.
3. Place in a greased 9x13 casserole dish.
4. Boil remaining ingredients over medium high heat in medium sauce pan for 10 minutes.
5. Pour this mixture over potatoes and bake at 350 until syrup is thick.
6. Optional: top with small marshmallows and return to over until browned.
