Flora's fave fried taters
- 2 tbsp of bacon grease
- 4 to 5 taters, peeled and sliced thinly.
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 1 to 2 tablespoons creole seasoning. *depending on how many taters your using and your heat tolerance
- 1 seasoned salt to taste * since the creole seasoning has salt in it and bacon grease is naturally salty I would wait for this step until after taters are cooked and do a taste test.
- In a skillet get your bacon grease hot.
- While your grease is warming over a med high heat, peel and slice your taters thinly.
- Add to the hot skillet.
- Put in your seasonings.
- *if your not into heat then maybe only do a tablespoon of the creole seasoning and just add a tad more seasoned salt.
- put a lid on and allow taters to get tender, turning occasionally * if they get dry just add a lil water.
- when they get tender take the lid off and allow them to brown.
- Enjoy!
