Easy To Make Finger Paints Recipe
- 1/2 c. cornstarch
- 3/4 c. cool water
- 2 c. warm water
- 2 teaspoon boric acid
- Food coloring or possibly tempera paints
- Several screw top jars (baby food jars are excellent)
- Mix cornstarch with 1/4 c. cool water to make a smooth paste.
- Add in warm water, stirring vigorously to prevent lumps.
- Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, till mix begins to boil.
- Remove from heat and add in 1/2 c. cool water and boric acid.
- Stir till thoroughly mixed.
- Divide into jars and add in coloring agent, mixing thoroughly.
- To extend life of paint, add in 1 Tbsp.
- glycerine to mix to retard drying process.
- Large paper bags work well for painting on.
- Have fun.
