Sweet Italian Pasta

  1. Put the olive oil into a saute pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the sausage, onion and garlic into the olive oil and cook until sausage is browned cooked and onions are opaque.
  3. Drain off the grease and set aside.
  4. In a pot over medium heat, combine chicken broth, pepper and spinach.
  5. Cook for 10 minutes until spinach is wilted.
  6. Add sausage mixture and cook for another 10 minutes to let flavors mingle.
  7. Then add the half-and-half and let the mixture simmer while you make your pasta.
  8. If you want to thicken this from a broth into a sauce, scoop out about 1/2 cup of the warm broth.
  9. Add about a tablespoon of cornstarch, stir well and add the mixture back into the pot.
  10. Serve this over the pasta and top with the shredded Parmesan if desired.
  11. This pasta is fantastic with a nice crusty bread to soak up the broth with.
