Boiled Raisin Cookies Recipe

• 1 c. water
• 2 c. raisins
• 1 c. shortening
• 2 c. sugar
• 2 teaspoon salt
• 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1/4 teaspoon allspice
• 3 Large eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 c. minced nuts
• 4 c. flour
• 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
• 1 teaspoon baking soda

1. Add in water to raisins, boil till liquid is decreased to 1/2 c. water.
2. Cold.
3. Mix together shortening, sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice.
4. Add in Large eggs, 1 at a time.
5. Add in vanilla and nuts.
6. then add in cooled raisin mix.
7. Add in flour, baking pwdr and baking soda.
8. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 min.
9. Recipe makes 60 cookies.
