Beef Satay Recipe
- 2 lb Beef Sirloin Or possibly Fillet
- 1/2 c. Soy Sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Honey
- 2 Tbsp. Lime Juice
- 1 Tbsp. Curry Pwdr
- 1 tsp Chili Pwdr
- 1 med Onion, Chopped
- 2 lrg Cloves Garlic, Chopped
- Cut the meat into 1-inch cubes and place in a bowl or possibly plastic bag.
- In a 2-c. measure, combine the soy sauce, honey, lime juice, curry and chili powders, onion and garlic.
- Blend thoroughly and pour over the meat.
- Marinate for 30 min at room temperature.
- Thread the meat on bamboo skewers, soaked in water to prevent charring, or possibly on small metal skewers.
- Push the meat close together if some rare portions are wanted or possibly space it slightly for well done meat.
- Grill 2 to 3 inches above warm coals till done as desired, about 8 min total cooking time for medium-rare.
