Perfect Apple Butter

  1. Place apples and cider in heavy saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Cook, stirring frequently, until mixture comes to a boil.
  3. Lower heat and simmer, stirring frequently, for about 1 hour, or until apple slices have disintegrated and butter is thick.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in cinnamon.
  5. Pour into sterilized jars.
  6. Seal and process according to directions in a reputable canning guide.
