Bacon And Chestnut Sprouts Recipe
- 375 gm Brussels sprouts, trimmed (12oz)
- 25 gm Butter, (1oz)
- 4 x Rashers smoked streaky bacon, minced
- 200 gm Cooked and peeled chestnuts, halved (7oz) Salt and freshly grnd black pepper
- Place the Brussels sprouts into a large pan of boiling water and cook for 5-8 min till just tender.
- Heat the butter in a large frying pan and add in the bacon.
- Fry till crispy.
- Add in the chestnuts and liquid removed sprouts and cook for a further minute mixing well.
- Add in seasoning to taste.
- NOTES : A traditional festive way to serve Brussels sprouts.
