Cocktail a La Louisiane

• 34 ounce rye whiskey
• 34 ounce sweet vermouth
• 34 ounce benedictine
• Herbsaint or 3 dashes pastis or 3 dashes absinthe
• 3 dashes peychaud's bitters
• maraschino cherry

1. Mix in bar glass with lumps of ice.
2. Strain into a cocktail glass.
3. in which has been placed a maraschino cherry.
4. Savor.
