Charishma's Delicious Chicken

  1. Fry the onions in oil until golden brown.
  2. Add cardamoms, cloves and bay leaves and continue to fry.
  3. Add chicken pieces and brown on all sides.
  4. Add tomatoes and continue to cook on medium-high flame.
  5. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, corriander powder, salt and black pepper.
  6. Mix really well, turning the chicken sides.
  7. Add raisins and apricots.
  8. Cook for about 5 minutes, mixing the raisins and apricots with the chicken pieces.
  9. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
  10. Add water.
  11. Simmer gently, covered, until chicken is very tender and sauce reduced.
  12. Serve hot with cooked white rice or roti.
  13. ENJOY!
