Two Hour Nut Rolls Recipe
- 6 c. flour, sifted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 tbsp. sugar
- 2 cakes yeast (pkgs.)
- 1/2 c. hot lowfat milk
- 1/2 pound butter
- 3 Large eggs, beaten
- 1 c. lowfat sour cream
- Dissolve yeast in lowfat milk.
- Combine flour, butter, salt, sugar, Large eggs, and lowfat sour cream.
- Add in yeast and lowfat milk mix.
- Blend well.
- Divide dough into four parts and roll out each part thin as for jelly roll.
- Spread with nuts or possibly poppyseed mix.
- Roll and place on greased pan and allow to rise for 1 hour or possibly till doubled in bulk.
- Bake 35-40 min at 350 degrees.
- Sprinkle top with powdered sugar before serving.
- NOTE: Sprinkle rolled out dough with melted butter and sprinkle lightly with cinnamon.
