Choco-Berry Moist Cake With Strawberry Sauce

  1. Mix the margarine and the sugar.
  2. The margarine should be at least room temperature or softened.
  3. Add the egg and mix well.
  4. Add the vanilla extract.
  5. Sift the flour, cocoa powder and baking soda into the mixture.
  6. Combine everything.
  7. In a separate bowl, mix the cream and vinegar.
  8. You should be able to notice the change in the cream.
  9. Add a pinch of salt.
  10. This mixture should taste just the right amount of sour and salty.
  11. Pour the cream mixture into the batter and mix well.
  12. Add the strawberry syrup or jam to your batter.
  13. Add the hot water and mix.
  14. Preheat the oven to 350F.
  15. I used a loaf pan and lined it with wax paper.
  16. Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 1hr or a little longer.
  17. Make sure to check once in a while with a skewer.
  18. Once baked, the skewer should cone out clean.
  19. Tip: for super moist outcome, underbake a little.
  20. For the sauce, mix altogether the cream, cocoa powder and strawberry syrup or jam.
  21. Set aside.
  22. Once the cake is out of the oven, let it cool for about 20mins.
  23. After 20mins, pour the sauce on top of the cake.
  24. Let the cake chill in the fridge before consumption.
  25. Eat and enjoy!
